Fifth Grade

Ms. Allison

    

Ms. Allison has been at PS 329Q for 4 years, working with 3rd and 5th grade. She is currently the grade leader with an awesome team of fifth grade teachers. Ms. Allison runs the Lego Robotics and Coding Club as well as the Book Club in after school.  Before joining the wonderful community at PS 329Q she was in East Harlem for 4 years also working in grades 3-5. Ms. Allison loves to travel and do her nails. 

 

Ms. Joseph

  

Ms. Joseph has worked in special education for 4 years, beginning her career in a fully specialized private institution, followed by providing SETSS support for students in grades K-4 in a charter school.  This is her first year with the East Elmhurst Community School, and she's so excited to join the Lion Pride.  All her students will tell you that she loves to rap, sing and dance. If you ever need some sunshine, stop by to visit any time!

 

Ms. Cheras

This school year is Mrs. Cheras's first year teaching at P.S. 329Q after spending 12 years at P.S. 152Q.  She is currently teaching an amazing 5th grade class with Mrs. Skrabonja and has the privilege to be working with a group of incredible professionals.  She loves being a part of her students' learning and being a part of their lives. Each day Mrs. Cheras is in the classroom, she is living her dream. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and really loves cats! 

 

Ms. Skrabonja

  

Mrs. Skrabonja is very excited to join the PS 329 staff and families this year, teaching fifth grade. She runs the Mad Science club  and spends time gardening with students. Mrs Skrabonja is also passionate about art and making sure all fifth graders get to attend a lot fun field trips across the neighborhood and the city. During her summers, Mrs. Skrabonja is an assistant camp director, having fun with students in grades K-8.
Before coming to East Elmhurst Community School, Mrs. Skrabonja taught grades K-5 in East Harlem. In her free time, Mrs. Skrabonja loves spending time with her family, going to volleyball and soccer games with her children, hiking, and traveling. 

Ms. Delaney

Ms. Delaney is the 5th grade math specialist. On her free time she likes to run and has completed three marathons, and is working on the fourth.   

Ms. Manoleas

  

Ms. Manoleas is the dual language teacher for 5th grade. She has lived across the United States, and loves California the best. She likes cooking, journal writing and being outdoors. 

Homework Policy

Reading: 40 minutes of reading a day in reading level books and a Storyworks Story with accompanying worksheets. 

Math: ixl and dreambox and worksheets 

Writing: Varies as required by the curriculum
